Pencil Art And Poetry By Jean Gasho
Her veil is the envy of many women
When they see her in all her glory
Adorned with flowers and immaculate pearls
Shining brighter than a shooting star
Even when she walks in the garden
The majestic butterfly is enchanted by her
Outside they see a woman in odyssey
On a quest of love, favour and mystery
But there is a story behind her glory
When she takes off her covering
And looks into the mirror
Beyond the veil still she cries
Sometimes things are not what they seem
Sometimes the beautiful veil is only but a covering
That holds her tears and her deepest secrets
And captures her pain from the prying eyes
Whilst the veil tells the world that all is well
Deep inside its a world apart
When she takes off her covering
And looks into the mirror
Beyond the veil still she cries
