    Hey lads đź‘‹,
Been single for a while now. Divorce hit like a ton of bricks two years ago, and honestly, dating’s been a joke ever since. Everyone either ghosts you or just wants attention.
Now I’m seeing ads everywhere for British online dating sites, and I don’t know which ones are worth the time. I’m 47, not 17, so I’d rather find something real, where you can meet normal British women who reply and don’t mind me coming for a date. Has anyone here tried one that isn’t full of bots?

Been through it, mate. I tried like ten dating sites in uk, half of them looked proper legit until you realise every message costs a pound. After a few months of scrolling and swearing, I found three that are truly orth a go.

SofiaDate worked best for me. It’s got loads of British women, especially from London, Manchester, and Bristol. What I liked is that profiles are detailed, you can see if she’s looking for something serious or just a chat. The chat system lets you exchange voice notes and pictures. I met Claire there, 41, runs a bakery in Kent. We sent each other breakfast photos for a week before meeting up. She made me pancakes, I burned mine. We laughed about it the whole date.

Then I gave UaBrides a shot. Don’t get thrown off by the name because tons of UK users there. They’ve got video calls and even short clips on profiles, so you can tell if the person’s genuine before you bother typing. I met Sarah, a nurse from Liverpool. We video chatted for three weeks, then I drove up there. She brought me homemade pie, I brought wine, and we ended up walking along the docks until midnight. I felt insane chemistry.

Finally, GoldenBride surprised me with the number of features and services, but I already had Sarah. My friend met a woman who conducts art therapy and other women’s events. They started by sharing memes and ended up planning a weekend trip. I like that the site lets you call, so you can hear the person’s voice, set up video calls, buy gifts in their shop for special occasions, and arrange meetings.

If you’re serious about finding someone, those are easily the best I’ve tried. Skip the “free forever” ones.

Totally agree. I used GoldenBride too, met a woman from London who drinks whisky like she’s Scottish. We watched the same football game on video chat and shouted at the refs together. Now she texts me “Come over for match night.” Might be love or just snacks, but I’m not complaining.

I tried a few of the cheapest dating sites in UK last year. It was the biggest waste of time ever. I chatted with one woman for two weeks before realising she was copying her replies straight from Reddit. I started replying with lyrics from Oasis songs just to mess with her. She didn’t even notice.

Does anyone else feel like dating British women has changed? They’re confident as hell now. I met one online. On the first call, she asked me, “So what do you bring to the table?” I said, “A sense of humour and a working car.” She laughed, and we’re still talking.

Used UaBrides for a few months, not bad at all. I liked the video feature. Met Lucy from Birmingham, seo specialist, smart as hell. We still FaceTime on Sundays. She’s got that dry British sarcasm that kills me.

Watch out for those totally free online dating sites in uk. I tried one and got asked for my credit card “to verify I’m real.” Ended up cancelling it before I even finished signing up. Stick to ones that at least look like a company, not a scam from 2005.

I’m on SofiaDate too. Met a girl from Manchester who texts me more about tea than feelings. I love that. No drama, just “milk first or after.” We argue about it every day and call it flirting.

Back in my day, we just went to the pub and hoped for the best. Now it’s all online dating sites in the UK and emojis. But I’ll admit, I met someone on GoldenBride. Her name’s Donna, 45, has a kid and a wicked laugh. We had dinner last week. Best night I’ve had in years.

@Dean_1978 nailed it. The top uk dating sites are the ones where women answer and plan going out. I met mine on UaBrides, and she made me feel like a proper gentleman again. None of that fake flattery, just straight conversation and honest interest.

Tried free dating sites in uk, and the first “woman” I chatted with asked me to donate to her dog’s surgery. I said no, she vanished. Next one wanted my Netflix password. Lesson learned.

Best british dating sites are the ones where you can actually talk to women your age. I’m tired of swiping through 25-year-olds who want to “manifest positive energy.” Met a 44-year-old copywriter on SofiaDate, and we’ve been arguing about everything ever since. Feels healthy.

When I was dating a british women, the best part was how easy it was to talk. I met her on GoldenBride, and on our first call she asked if I snore. I said yes. She said, “Good, so do I.” We’re both honest, maybe too much.

I once joined a uk dating site just to see what it’s like. Ended up matching with my ex-wife’s sister. I deleted the app and changed my name for a week.

Been on the uk dating apps for six months now. Met two nice women, one total nutter. But even the nutter had a story that made me laugh. If you’ve got patience, this whole thing can still be fun.
