I’ve always been attracted to Japanese women, but the chances to meet them in real life are very low. Since Japanese are a highly technical nation, I think many of them spend time on different sites and apps. What do you think about online dating in Japan in general? Are there Japanese dating sites you can trust?
Best AnswerI moved to Japan 4 years ago, and I must admit that online dating is very popular with local guys. Many of them consider it wrong to approach girls in the streets, so they’re more likely to join a dating site and like their profiles rather than feel embarrassed irl.
Speaking of Japanese dating sites for foreigners, many of them can’t boast many real members and a focus on seriousness. So I can recommend only those platforms that I visited personally – SakuraDate, LanaDate, and NaomiDate. My Asian friend recommended these and two more sites if I want something meaningful, and they didn’t disappoint me.
SakuraDate is my best bet since it has an extensive user base with lots of members online. Naomidate attracted with lots of visuals in profiles, and Lanadate has simplified the search with lots of specifications.

Nonsense! There’s hardly anyone who doesn’t use a Japanese dating service if attracted to girls of this nationality. As for me, I believe that online dating is much more convenient if you look for a match abroad. Unfortunately, there aren’t many free Japanese dating sites, but I didn’t hurry to pay for a platform before I ensured there were real users and girls I liked.

Really think that these sites are good? I’ve checked dozens of platforms, and none of them is worth your time if it’s free. Moreover, too ideal profiles are only a magnet to attract men to a so-called best Japanese dating site. I believe that such websites were launched to cheat men and let girls lure their money! I can’t guarantee that everyone will succeed in dating on the top Japanese dating sites I’ve chosen for myself. And you know – they’re free only for ladies! Men should buy website virtual currency, so only those who have serious intentions usually join them.

So what can you recommend? I’m not an expert in Japanese online dating, so I decided to share my own experience. It’s strange to accuse someone of lying if you haven’t checked that personally. I communicated with 4 people on SakuraDate, and 3 of them appeared to be real, interesting personalities without a hint of scam!
